The COS parent club has organized the first parent-family-student event. Tonight, we will meet at 5:30 at Me ‘n Eds Pizza in the Tower District (on Wishon across from Roger Rocka’s). At 6:15, we will head out for ArtHop. We will be doing a little walking, so wear comfortable shoes. Family and friends are welcome!
ArtHop is a free event put on by the Fresno Arts Council every first and third Thursday. It features over 50 art galleries and venues on these evenings. Some of the featured exhibits tonight include one by the Clay 
Mix gallery which is showing clay sculptures from local ceramic instructors. The second is one at Gallery 25 which features a display “Celebrating Women’s Art.” Looking forward to seeing everyone there

Speaking of art, the students in the art history course are discussing ideas for the school colors and school logo. They will present their ideas to us at the first leadership summit on Tuesday, September 15 (12:30-5:30). Read more on teacher Phyllis Johnson’s blog.
In COS, we want all students to be reading and responding to the school email address. That is the one that ends in @cos.cusd.com. You all received a log into COS Live which includes your email, instant messenger, and online storage. Please check your email every day for updates from your teachers.
